QtPlatformSupport is a static library. It should never export
anything, so Q_PLATFORMSUPPORT_EXPORT is unnecessary.
QtSql, QtXml, QtDBus, QtOpenGL and QtPrintSupport now have the macros
on their own source trees. It's possible these modules might be
separated out from qtbase in the future. For QtDBus, the macros are
moving back to where they used to be. This also leaves qglobal.h only
creating the macros for QtCore, QtGui, QtWidgets and QtNetwork, the
core libraries.
Q_CANVAS_EXPORT, Q_OPENVG_EXPORT and Q_COMPAT_EXPORT aren't used
anywhere in the Qt sources, so simply delete them. And the
Q_QUICK1_EXPORT macro in the static section was wrong, so remove it
too.

absorb module.prf into qt_installs.prf, as that's where it belongs.
add qt_install_module option and automatically set it in
qt_module_config. make qt_installs use that option.

Only call qdoc for projects which sets the QMAKE_DOCS variable to
point to a qdocconf file.
Exclude examples/ and tests/ from the qdoc run, by adding
no_docs_target
to CONFIG for those projects.

This operation should be a no-op anyway, since at this point in time,
the fromAscii and toAscii functions simply call their fromLatin1 and
toLatin1 counterparts.

qmake can't parse /* C-style comments */. The license headers in these
files should use # as the comment delimiter. However, .pro files anyway
don't need license headers, so just remove them.

removed the header from one file.

Commit 4dabe78387 changed
these functions from virtuals to inlines that check the
return value of the remaining virtual function nodeType().
However, two of the functions call nodeType() more than
once, which we know will return the same result each time,
but requires a compiler with interprocedural optimization
capabilities to figure out by itself.
So instead of repeatedly calling nodeType(), call it once
and store its return value in a temporary, and use the
temp for further comparisions.

The QByteArray::operator const {char,void}*() implicit
conversions are a source of subtle bugs, so they right-
fully can be disabled with QT_NO_CAST_FROM_BYTEARRAY.
const char *d = qstring.toLatin1(); // implicit conversion
while ( d ) // oops: d points to freed memory
// ...
But almost no-one ever enabled this macros in the wild
and many were bitten by these implicit conversions, so
this patch deprecates them.
I would have liked to remove them completely, but there
are just too many occurrences even in Qt itself to hope
to find all conditionally-compiled code that uses these.
Also fixes all code that needs to compile under
QT_NO_DEPRECATED (in qmake/, src/tools/).

After discussion with Liang, I'm reverting it as he requested. This change put every header into the SYNCQT.HEADER_FILES twice for in-source builds, and the qtMODULEversion.h header did not include a path component.

before it is added as a child, because appendChild will increment the
reference count to correct value of 1. Re-enabled commented-out test data
tst_QDom::setContent to exercise the code path with the leak.

Calling setTextModeEnabled on a QIODevice that is not open generates
a warning as a result of QTBUG-20905. Previously, it caused incorrect
behaviour when called with true.
Now only call it if the QIODevice passed in is already opened.
If not open, then it is opened by the xml reader without text mode,
so there is no difference in behaviour.
xml autotests still pass, although this removes several QWARN messages
from the qdom autotest.
