StripTrailingSlash removes trailing slashes from the path, but not the
entire URL.

Add a bool *ok out parameter to qt_normalizePathSegments() and return false
when ".." are left over for an absolute path, indicating an attempt to
change above root.
Factor out static helper qt_cleanPath() to be able to pass the return value
to QDir::cd() and return on failure from there.
Amends change 63f634322b, which did
not handle UNC paths.

8a33077 made QUrl::resolved() follow its documentation ("If relative
is not a relative URL, this function will return relative directly.",
where relative means scheme is empty).
However there is much code out there (e.g. qtdeclarative) which relies
on QUrl::fromLocalFile("fileName.txt") to be treated as relative, so
for now, we still allow this (in Qt 5.6.x). For Qt 5.8, this commit will
be reverted.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][QUrl] [EDITORIAL: replaces 8a33077] QUrl::resolved()
no longer treats a URL with a scheme as a relative URL if it matches
this URL's scheme. For now it still treats "file:name.txt" as relative
for compatibility, but be warned that in Qt 5.8 it will no longer
consider those to be relative. Both isRelative() and RFC 3986 say that
such URLs are not relative, so starting from Qt 5.8, resolved() will
return them as is.

They look relative because the path doesn't start with a '/' but they
have a scheme so they shouldn't be combined as if it was one absolute
and one relative URL.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][QUrl] QUrl::resolved() no longer treats a URL with
a scheme as a relative URL if it matches this URL's scheme. This special
casing was incompatible with RFC 3986 and broke resolving data: URLs,
for instance.

It makes little sense to use QStringLiteral for strings which are
immediately appended to, or which are appended to other strings,
because no dynamic memory allocation is saved by doing so. But if
the only advantage of QStringLiteral does not apply, all its
disadvantages dominate, to wit: injection of calls to qstring dtor,
non-sharability of data between C strings and QStringLiterals and
among QStringLiterals, and doubled storage requirements.
Fix by replacing QStringLiteral with QLatin1String.
Saves 1156B in text size on stripped optimized Linux AMD64 GCC 4.9
builds.

When using QUrl::PreferLocalFile we do want to strip the leading slash,
as toLocalFile() would do as well.
Behavior change by means of an example:
QUrl url(QUrl::fromLocalFile("C:/file.txt")
url.toLocalFile() --> "C:/file.txt"
Before:
url.toDisplayString(QUrl::PreferLocalFile) --> "/C:/file.txt"
After:
url.toDisplayString(QUrl::PreferLocalFile) --> "C:/file.txt"

Path normalization should happen only when NormalizePathSegments is set.
Use a less intrusive fix for the setPath("//path") issue that
commit aba336c2b4 was about.
This allows fromLocalFile("/tmp/.") to keep the "/." at the end,
which is useful for appending to the path later on (e.g. to get "/tmp/.hidden")

IPv6 addresses can start with ":", for which QDir::isAbsolute() would
always return true (QResourceFileEngine::isRelativePath() returns
constant false) and would trip the calculation for local files.
Similarly, IPv6 addresses can start with strings that look like Windows
drives: "a:", "b:", "c:", "d:", "e:" and "f:" (though not today, as
those address blocks are unassigned). Since a valid IPv6 address will
definitely require at least one more colon and Windows file names cannot
contain ':', there's no ambiguity: a valid IPv6 address is never a valid
file on Windows.
This resolves the ambiguity in favor of IPv6 for Unix filenames (which
can contain a colon) and in case of an URL containing scheme, relative
path and no authority ("dead:beef::" for example could have been parsed
as scheme() == "dead" and path() == "beef::").
