Miika Pernu 036c3c19e7 Fix to crash in QWindow::event when delete this called on closeEvent
Starting from Qt 5.11 QWindow::event is called after QDialog::closeEvent
which would cause a crash if "delete this" was called on closeEvent. The commit
that changed this was e0b5ff4ad5. Added
a check before QWindow::event call utilizing QPointer to prevent the
function call in case object is destroyed by a user in close event handler.

Volker Hilsheimer d934fd7f54 Send MouseMove events without buttons if the press closed the popup
With nested popup widgets, pressing a mouse button on the lower
popup will close the active popup. MouseMove events that are generated
before the button is released again should not have that button
included, as it is likely to result in incorrect state handling in
the widget. This change removes all buttons from the MouseMove event,
which is the second best option.

This is mostly consistent with the behavior when closing a popup and
no other popup remains. The widget underneath will get MouseMove
events without the respective button included.

This change doesn't include a fix for the final release event, which
should ideally also not be delivered to the remaining popup, as it
never got a corresponding press event. Qt has already reset the states
in which it stores which widget received the press event at the time
the release is generated, such as qt_button_down and qt_popup_down.
So we can't separate a release grabbed by a newly opened popup (which
we want) from a release to the popup that became active after closing
(which we don't want).
However, widgets can more easily work around this issue, and the risk
of breaking things by changing the code further becomes too high.

Tor Arne Vestbø d4a4202caa widgets: Sync client rect of paint-on-screen widgets during resize
Paint events are delivered with the client rect of the widget, and
this applies to paint-on-screen widgets as well. The same goes for
how the widget repaint manager tracks dirty rects. Internally we
were also calling paintOnScreen() with client rects, so the use
of geometry() in the resize handler was likely a bug/oversight.

Tor Arne Vestbø 8c3cc07bf5 widgets: Translate QWindow move events into widget relative position
If a widget backed by a QWindow is moved we need to translate the window
geometry into a position relative to the parent widget. In most cases this
was incidentally working due to widgets backed by QWindows always having
QWindow parents too, so the QWindow position was applicable to the widget
as well. But when Qt::WA_DontCreateNativeAncestors is used this is no
longer the case, and we would end up with a widget geometry that included
the parent positions all the way up to the next native widget.

The updatePos() function has been squashed into handleMoveEvent(), since
we need to ensure the position in the move event sent to the widget is
correct as well.

Andy Shaw ccd3bf0871 Ensure that child windows are visible again when showing their parent
When a window is closed, then it will cause the child windows to be
closed as well as a result. Therefore in order to ensure that they are
shown again as a result, we need to remove the WA_WState_ExplicitShowHide
attribute if the widget was not already hidden before. This enables us to
test for this attribute when calling showChildren(), so that if the
window has a windowHandle then we can make sure that this widget is shown
again.

In Qt 5.0, delta() and orientation() were already marked obsolete,
but Widgets and tests have kept on depending on them all this time.
We now start using alternative API so they can really be deprecated.
All constructors except the newest one are also deprecated.
The plan is for all events from pointing devices to have
QPointF position() and globalPosition(), so we deprecate
the other position accessors.

[ChangeLog][QtGui] Obsolete constructors and accessors in QWheelEvent
now have proper deprecation macros. What is left is intended to be
compatible with planned changes in Qt 6.

Richard Moe Gustavsen a545b85bdd QWidgetWindow: check if receiver is deleted after event delivery
When a popup is active, we set the receiver of mouse events to
be the active popup widget. But when we send a mouse event to
the popup, the receiver might start a new QEventLoop (e.g by
executing a new dialog). And in the meantime, the popup will
be destroyed. This will cause a crash in the line after the
event delivery (where we sat "qt_last_mouse_receiver = receiver"),
since at that point, "receiver" would be a dangling pointer.

This patch will use a QPointer instead of a raw pointer to
store "receiver", to ensure that it's set to null for
such cases.

Shawn Rutledge b4b706d454 Ensure that QTabletEvent is not pre-accepted before sending
In QWidget-world it's normal for input events to have the accepted
flag false by default, so that it's obvious after visiting a widget
subclass that does not override a particular handler function that it
did not handle that event type at all. For tablet events in
particular, the contract (to which we've been paying more attention to
ensure that QTBUG-47007 remains properly fixed) is that if a
QTabletEvent is not accepted, a mouse event will follow.
Tablet-unaware applications need to get the same mouse events from a
Wacom stylus as they would receive from an actual mouse.

In this case the issue was missing hover events (mouse movements
in which no mouse button is pressed). Without those, the enterEvent
and exitEvent virtuals are also not invoked properly.

Tor Arne Vestbø ba44cdae38 Teach QPlatformWindow about safe area margins and implement for iOS
The safe area margins of a window represent the area that is safe to
place content within, without intersecting areas of the screen where
system UI is placed, or where a screen bezel may cover the content.

QWidget will incorporate the safe area margins into its contents margins,
so that they are are never smaller than the safe area margins. This can be
disabled by unsetting the Qt::WA_ContentsMarginsRespectsSafeArea widget
attribute, which is set by default.

QLayouts will automatically use the contents area of a widget for their
layout, unless the Qt::WA_LayoutOnEntireRect attribute has been set. This
can be used, along with a contents margin of 0 on the actual layout,
to allow e.g. a background image to underlay the status bar and other
system areas on an iOS device, while still allowing child widgets of
that background to be inset based on the safe area.

[ChangeLog][iOS/tvOS] Qt will now take the safe area margins of the
device into account when computing layouts for QtWidgets.

Gatis Paeglis 200c6dd896 qwidgetwindow: remove seemingly stray QApplicationPrivate::mouse_buttons
This patch removes mouse_buttons related code from qwidgetwindow.cpp
as it does not belong there for the following reasons:

- The commit (ed2a2dc6da) that added it in
Qt5 says that the logic was copied from qapplication_x11.cpp (filename
in Qt4 repository). Other qapplication_*.cpp platform implementations
did not have this kind of logic; thus having it in cross platform location
qwidgetwindow.cpp does not make sense.

- According to the documentation, QApplicationPrivate::mouse_buttons:

"Returns the current state of the buttons on the mouse. The current state
is updated synchronously as the event queue is emptied".

So the only place where changing this variable makes sense is in
QGuiApplicationPrivate::processMouseEvent, which is *when the event
queue is emptied*.

There are other places in source code where this variable is changed,
but all of those are hacks and should be cleaned out eventually:

// a hack due to insufficient QWindowSystemInterface API
plugins/platforms/windows/qwindowsdrag.cpp

// a hack to support code that bypasses QWSI API when sending mouse events
// via qApp->notify().
widgets/kernel/qapplication.cpp

- AFACT, the released button bit will be already unset by the time mouse
release event reaches QWidgetWindow::handleMouseEvent.

Tor Arne Vestbø 8e70241dcc Let QPlatformBackingStore handle its own QOpenGLContext
The resources allocated by QPlatformBackingStore are owned by the class,
and should be allocated in a context the class also owns. This removes
the asymmetry of having to pass in a context to composeAndFlush, while
having to make the same context current before destroying the platform
backingstore.

The context owned by QPlatformBackingStore is shared with the associated
window though a new QWindowPrivate::shareContext() API.

The result is that on e.g. iOS, the backingstore does not need to tie
the resource allocation of QPlatformBackingStore to the global share
context, but can instead tie them to the per-window context, and hence
clean them up after each window is closed.
