Jason McDonald 238c304613 Remove obsolete MSVC workarounds from autotests. 
Qt5 doesn't support MSVC versions before 2008, so workarounds for
earlier versions are no longer required.

Jason McDonald 338d3f1197 Avoid QSKIP in lieu of compile-time checks. 
Change compiler autotest to omit inapplicable functions at compile-time
in preference to skipping at run-time.
