To work around path length limiations, Qt Creator optionally uses junction points to shorten the build directories. This however breaks examples that require sources outside their 'root' directory. QUIP 13 states that examples should be self-contained. Anyhow, fixing this is a larger effort, so for now just disable junction points in Qt Creator for these examples. Qt is supplied with a number of example applications that have been written to provide developers with examples of the Qt API in use, highlight good programming practice, and showcase features found in each of Qt's core technologies.
